The Mansion

This pictures were taken at Elsi Gatches in Alabang. An institution who care for mentally retarded clients. The place was owned by Elsie and Samuel Gatches a kind and helpful couple.

The Mansion was a place where you can see classrooms and a chapel. According to them every Thursday they hear a mass in that place. 

The cottages were very open and organized. They separate girls from boys and group the clients according to the IQ level of the clients.

The tour to Elsie Gatches was very tiring because the place was very wide. But still it was fun, all the clients were smiling to us every time we pass by their cottages and saying "hello ate".

This picture is the clinic in Elsie Gatches, they only have one doctor in this institution. There were 25 beds in this clinic, and they also separate the boys to girls even when admitting them in this clinic.

This pictures was taken in Sanctuary Center in Mandaluyong City. This institution handles women who have mental problems. The institution was founded on April 1988, this April they are going to celebrate their 24th year of giving help to those women who need their care and protection. 

Before conducting the program that we prepare for our ate's on the sanctuary we proceed to the multipurpose hall for a short orientation delivered by Ma'am Luz.

We enjoyed every minute of stay in the sanctuary. We danced together with the clients and some of them sung a song, and make as say 'wow' because they were very good singers.
